Who can use this
A signed-in account with Author tools and saved author details.
Before you start
Add your author details first so the record is connected to the correct Author tools.
This form stores book details and an optional cover image. It never accepts a manuscript, EPUB or PDF.
Steps
- Open Author Studio → Published books.
- Enter the title, description and any optional publication details you know.
- Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP cover from your device and check the preview.
- Select Save published book and wait for the saved confirmation.
- Find the saved record below the form. Choose Edit details when the record is authorised for your account to manage.
- To show it on your public Author website, open More tools → Mini website, choose it under Featured published book, check the preview and save the website as Public.
- Use the record in promotion or in an ARC campaign only when that tool helps you. None is compulsory.
What happens next
The saved record remains visible to the Author with its cover and manage action. Only a book explicitly selected on a public Author website appears there; unselected records stay private to the Author's tools.
Common problems
- The cover is rejected.
- Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP image no larger than 5 MB. Your typed book details remain available so you can retry.
- The ISBN is rejected.
- Check all 13 digits, or leave ISBN blank when you do not have it.
- The book changed in another tab.
- Reopen the record, check the latest saved details and apply your change again.
- You expected the book to appear in Discover.
- Saving a published-book record in Author Studio does not publish a public listing automatically. Use the separate List a Book journey when you want to add truthful book information to Discover.
