Who can use this
Author Studio, ARC book details credited to your Author profile, and the membership entitlement shown by the product.
Before you start
Campaign creation requires an eligible Book credited to your active Author profile and the access shown by the product. A Book contribution alone does not establish that relationship.
Upload only an EPUB you are authorised to distribute. A public or positive Review is never a condition of ARC participation.
Steps
- Open ARC Hub → ARCs I created. Choose Create your first ARC campaign or Create another ARC campaign.
- Select the eligible Book. Check that it is the intended Book; a link from another tool never substitutes a different Book silently.
- Enter the title, description, eligibility and application question. Set application dates, capacity and the private-feedback deadline.
- Select Create draft campaign. The draft is not open to Readers.
- Upload the private EPUB and wait for validation. If a valid file already exists for this Book, select Use current protected EPUB to attach that exact file to this campaign.
- Check that the campaign shows EPUB ready, then select Open campaign when you are ready to accept applications.
- Use Preview campaign to check the public brief. Use Applications, Participants, Feedback and Results within ARC Hub to manage the campaign.
What happens next
The campaign remains a draft until its exact protected file is ready and you deliberately open it. Approved Readers receive their own controlled access, not a public manuscript link.
Common problems
- The requested Book is unavailable.
- Use Manage my published Books to review its Author-profile credit. Catalogue provenance is not distribution permission. Do not choose an unrelated Book as a workaround.
- The EPUB is rejected.
- Correct the validation problem shown and upload a readable EPUB with a valid chapter order. Failed files cannot open Reader access.
- Open campaign is disabled.
- Check the exact campaign's EPUB readiness. A ready file for the Book must also be attached to this campaign.
