Everyone begins with one Reader account. Add Author or Influencer tools only when you need them.

    Join with your email, choose a unique password and verify your email address.

  2. Complete onboarding

    Tell My Blurbly what you want to do. This prepares your dashboard without publishing anything.

  3. Set up your profile

    Add your display name, username, biography and image. Review every public setting before publishing it.

    Today shows unfinished work and next actions. Reading, Create & Publish, Promote & Grow, Community, Insights, Inbox and Account organise the rest.

Reader pathDiscover, read and review a book

Use this path when you want to find a book and keep your reading life in one place.

  1. Find a book

    Search Discover by title or Author and open the individual book page.

  2. Add it to your library

    Choose Want to Read, Currently Reading or Read. Your library and reading activity stay connected to that book.

  3. Track your reading

    Use Reader World for progress, sessions, goals, journal entries and private highlights.

  4. Publish an honest review

    Review the book on its own page or from your library in Reader World. The published review appears with that book—not on a separate review-writing page.

  5. Join an ARC when you are ready

    Apply to a campaign that suits you. Protected ARC feedback is private; a public review is separate and never has to be positive.

Author pathBuild and launch your book

Enable Author tools, connect a real book and work through each stage deliberately.

    Add the Author role from Account. Your Reader identity and history remain unchanged.

  2. Add or claim your book

    Create a draft book or request ownership of an existing catalogue record. Only claim work you own or legitimately represent.

  3. Improve the manuscript

    Create a private Editorial project, work through analysis and revision, and approve changes intentionally. Manuscript text is never public.

  4. Prepare the launch

    Use Launch Room for tasks, milestones and collaborators. Create an ARC campaign only after the book details and dates are accurate.

  5. Build your public presence

    Preview your Author profile, mini-site and lead magnet before publishing. Test every public link and consent statement.

  6. Grow a consented audience

    Only add contacts with recorded permission. Prepare newsletters as drafts; live external email delivery is not active yet.

Influencer pathBuild your book-focused business

Create a credible professional presence before applying for opportunities or publishing promotion work.

    Add the Influencer role and complete your professional profile with truthful social links and audience evidence.

  2. Prepare your public assets

    Build your media kit, book-first link hub and service listings privately, then preview them before publishing.

  3. Create a Promotion Workspace

    Connect every campaign, deliverable and content item to a real book and one clear objective.

  4. Plan platform-specific content

    Prepare separate copy and disclosures for each social destination. Direct social-network publishing is not active until official connectors are authorised.

  5. Record truthful results

    Use only results supported by My Blurbly or an authoritative provider. Do not estimate sales, revenue, reach or commissions.

Community pathConnect safely around books

Communities support broader conversations; book clubs add structured reading schedules and events.

  1. Choose the right group

    Open Community and browse discussion groups or book clubs. Read the description and rules before joining.

  2. Join or request access

    Public spaces may be open immediately. Private spaces require approval from their owners or moderators.

  3. Take part thoughtfully

    Keep conversations relevant, respect spoiler controls and use polls, discussions and club events for their stated purpose.

  4. Use safety controls

    Report harmful content or messages using the control beside it. Block unwanted contact and do not retaliate publicly.
