Make the relationship obvious
Place a clear disclosure close to the referral link, recommendation or sponsored content before a person acts on it. The wording must identify that you may receive a benefit or commission. A profile bio, hidden terms page or unexplained hashtag alone may be insufficient.
Use truthful language
Do not claim that a click guarantees commission, that My Blurbly endorses your opinion, or that membership outcomes are guaranteed. Adapt the disclosure to the channel while keeping its meaning clear.
Books, reviews and campaigns
Disclose free copies, ARC access, gifts, sponsorships and affiliate links. A commercial relationship must never require a positive review. Follow the rules of the social platform and the laws that apply to you and your audience.
Example
A suitable starting point is: “I’m a My Blurbly Founding Member. If you join through this link, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.” Adjust it if another relationship or benefit also needs disclosure.
